All new parts were used to improve the handling of this truck that drives like a car. New TCI suspension and components, Four wheel disc brakes and a Tremec TKO 600 5 spd transmission w/.64 Overdrive completes the transformation. The fender aprons and firewall are flattened/slicked and trans tunnel raised. The TCI Mustang II front suspension, with powder coated parts, coil-over shocks, power rack and pinion fitted to a tiltable chrome Flaming River steering column and steering wheel with Cruise Control. A Currie 9” rear with TruTrack posi, 3.50 gearing and airbag suspensions and torque arm round out the package. The new TCI boxed frame is tied together and X-braced as noted in all the pictures attached and in the provided web links. Keeping in line with the Classic RestoMods mission of building classic autos with new technology, the exterior and interior of the car are weren’t left alone either. The highest quality PPG Gloss Black custom paint and clear coat were used, with two tone highlights of Light Platinum metallic, are to a showroom quality. The exterior old hinges were replaced with Hagan hidden hinges and modern bear claw door latches The interior received Corbeau comfort reclining black leather seats, 3 point seat beats, HomeLink auto garage door opener, AM/FM/Sat in a unit that looks like the original radio, custom built center console, custom made dash extension to house A/C vents and controls, interior air compressor and gauge, Hurst Shifter, and a very high end two way security system. All gauges are custom built and the Speedo/tach combo is driven by GPS and many added features (time, 0-60 time, 1/4mi time, trip, altitude, direction and speed).
